Yes. EchoSearch is completely free to use.
How do I change the theme?

Does EchoSearch save my searches?
Search history is stored locally in your browser only.
Can I clear my history?
Yes. Use the Clear History button under the search list.
Can I use voice search?
Yes. Click the mic button and speak your query. However, this feature is only available on chronium-based browsers. Non-chronium based browsers (e.g. Safari) doesn't support this feature.
How do I make EchoSearch my default search engine?
Visit the EchoSearch Defaulting page for links for Edge and Chrome.
Does it work on mobile?
Yes. EchoSearch is responsive and mobile-friendly.
Does EchoSearch track me?
No. It does not track or sell your data.
Can I add custom themes?
Yes. Use the Themes page to make one.
What browsers are supported?
EchoSearch works in Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and most modern browsers.
Can I use it offline?
No. You need internet for search results.
Can I pin favorite searches?
Not yet, but it’s on the roadmap.
What does the Surprise Me button do?
It shows a random fun fact.
Are the facts real?
Yes, all facts are based on real information.
Can I submit a fact?
No. However, a community submission feature is planned.
What’s the chat button?
It opens ChatGPT for an AI summary.
Is there dark mode?
Yes. Toggle the 🌙 button at the top-right.
Does EchoSearch support multiple languages?
No. However, EchoSearch is planned to be available in Spanish soon.

Yes. You can use EchoSearch for web and images only (for now).

Basic input shortcuts are supported; more may come later.
Can I resize the search bar?
It auto-adjusts for screen size.
Does the logo change with themes?
The logo remains the same for consistency.

What if my mic doesn’t work?
Check your browser’s microphone permissions. If your on a non-chronium-based browser (e.g. Safari), then voice input will not work.
What if the logo doesn’t load?
Check your internet connection or clear cache.
Does it work in private mode?
Yes, though history will not be saved.
Can I change the accent color?
Accent colors are tied to the theme selected.
